CHOIR

Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

The role of the Choir in worship services is to help our congregation sing together and experience the presence of God. Leading the congregation in hymns and prayers is absolutely essential for worship, since praise is much desired by God.

The Chembur Mar Thoma Church choir is registered with the Department of Sacred Music and Communications (DSMC) and consists of a group of committed individuals, mostly youths. Their active participation in all parish activities is a blessing for all. Leading the singing and chants during Sunday worship services is a regular activity. Choir members also serve the congregation at events such as weddings, funerals, and major parish events. The Christmas carol service is an event that involves a lot of preparation and is looked forward to by each member of the parish.

The members of the choir take active efforts in attracting younger talents to serve the choir.
