SENIOR CITIZENS' FELLOWSHIP
The Senior Citizens Fellowship (SCF) has been recognized as an official organization of the Church and has a unit within Chembur Parish. There are 200 registered members in this unit. The objectives include spiritual, moral and physical support to senior citizens keeping them in the mainstream of parish activities and also leveraging their talents and experience for the purpose of His Kingdom.
The current activity schedule includes:
- Periodic bible studies
- Retreats and fellowship gatherings
- House visits of seniors who are home bound
- Participation in regular worship services, including carol singing
The third Sunday of September, each year, is set apart as Senior Citizens’ Day where SCF members lead in the worship service. Parish members completing 60 years of age are felicitated during that day. SCF members actively participate in various Diocese and Centre-level activities and competitions.
